I mean, it's weird to think that once it was warm in Antarctica (so, there has been global warming before?).

Antarctica has fossils and coal so it must have been warm. And Australia used to be joined on to it (I think) and there's heaps of coal in Australia.

So once upon an aeon the Earth's climate was obviously warmer than it is now.

'Or else,' said Ms Rubenach, who must have heard what I was thinking (she often does that), 'Or else Antarctica was somewhere else, like more north, closer to the equator.'
