I've been worried about the standard of the kids' writing. They're all supposed to be talented in this area (well, most of them) but somehow what they write doesn't seem to come from the heart.

I've tried writing letters to some of them and getting a correspondence going. But because I'm their teacher they won't open up with what's really going on inside their heads (or where ever things go on inside people).

At St Kev's this morning I got talking about it with Virginia. She said why don't they write to her about medical questions or how the human body works--even their thoughts on life and death, the universe and everything?

I think I'll start the ball rolling tomorrow. And see what happens.
