I voted for my darling Hank at the Legislative Council Elections this morning but I'm sure nothing will come of it. What a good man to lose from public life. I suppose if he hadn't resigned from the chamber to contest a seat in the House of Assembly then it would be an almost guaranteed re-election today.
But he was right to try. What a pity an independent can't get to be premier.
One good thing. Now that Hank is out I'll be able to turn my full attention to the Greens.
Though I'd better be careful how I talk about it at school cocktail parties. Two of the families in my class have been in the timber industry for generations.
