4000 people fill the Derwent Entertainment Centre.

The lights go out.

A deep thrum comes out of the darkness. Louder. Louder. A throb like the heartbeat of a whale.

Thwuuush! A skyrocket flashes to earth on a trail of sparks. The place where it lands seems to burst into flame. It's a laser image, 3D, hovering there, a dark, quivering iron lamp post, three metres tall.

A glow spreads from the lamp post, spreads softly over a field of snow. Then the lights dim up revealing a scene of winter desolation. A forest glistens, white.

The rock band breaks into song.
