With jointed legs and hard little bodies, springtails self-trampoline from one safe spot to another, wary of the Pseudoscorpions...

Who prowl the jungle muck, seizing victims in their front claws, injecting them with poison.

When it's full of food and in a safe place behind a mountainside of potato peel, the springtail grooms itself by dragging its six legs over its body.

Then male meets female. He caresses her. They touch antennaes, dance around. He trots around he. He surrounds her with droplets of semen. She moves away. The semen sticks to her genitals. Soon she'll lay a clutch of eggs. In the compost. Then there'll be more springtails, the most abundant animal with legs on Earth.
