A fire is roaring in a bird cage.

Thinking that I may be able to save the bird in the cage, I plunge my hand into the fire. Although the flames feel hot they do not burn me.

But it hurts like hell.

My hand fumbles around in the cage but I can't feel any birds. Apart from the fire, the cage is empty.

When I withdraw my hand it is covered with $ signs.
