Dear Dr Claire

What if the hole in the ozone layer gets worse? Will the animals and plants get sunburn? Will the birds go blind? What about the plankton in the oceans? What about the insects? Where is the worst place on earth for the ozone layer? Has it got anything to do with the greenhouse effect?

I think this is serious but I read somewhere that scientists aren't even sure that the hole in the ozone layer is anything unusual. How can I find out for sure?
