Dear Camilla Duffey

Every time a little thing upsets you it's because it taps into the huge unhappiness of your parents being divorced. This is completely normal.

Of course you will cry a lot. And remember--crying is good for you. It helps you cope with bad feelings.

But you should talk to somebody. It might be too difficult with your mother for now. Perhaps you can talk to a trusted adult friend, or a counsellor.

There's another thing to do, too...

Relationships are difficult at times so it's worth learning how to be good at relationships--which means learning how to communicate. This is especially important if your family situation has changed because of divorce or something.

Yours sincerely

Virginia R. Claire
